Consistency that survives the handoff

One compliance standard across every franchise location

Franchise systems live on consistency and lose it at every handoff. BARS gives franchisors and multi-unit owners one measurement that travels with the brand, from an owner's first store to a 500-unit system.

1standard that travels with the brand across every owner

Why it's hard

Every franchisee runs their own P&L and trains their own people on their own schedule, so a brand standard is only real if it gets measured the same way everywhere.

BARS supplies that measurement. The same check, scored the same way, at every owner's register. The Checker brings an age-restricted item to the counter, the associate asks for ID or doesn't, and the transaction stops there. No money changes hands. Green Card for asking, Red Card and a coaching moment for missing it. Crews across the network know the program runs. They never know which customer is the check. That's what keeps the number comparable through turnover and a change of owner.

Common questions

Can the franchisor require BARS as part of the brand standard?
Yes. Many franchisors write BARS participation into the brand standard and centralize billing at the franchisor level. Others negotiate a network rate and let owners opt in.
Do franchisees see each other's results?
Not by default. Each owner sees their own locations. Aggregate, anonymized network benchmarks can be shared if the franchisor approves.
